Install Consentics on HubSpot CMS

HubSpot's Site header HTML field applies your snippet across every page, post and landing page on a domain in one paste.

You'll need Marketing Hub or CMS Hub access with permission to edit website settings (typically a Super Admin or Marketing Admin role). This applies to HubSpot's CMS-hosted pages; if you're only using HubSpot's CRM without its website tools, this guide doesn't apply.

1. Go to your Consentics install page (Account, Properties, your site, Install) and copy your snippet. See the install basics for why you should copy it from there rather than reusing an example.
2. In HubSpot, click the Settings gear icon in the top navigation bar.
3. In the left sidebar, go to Website, Pages.
4. Select the domain you want to install Consentics on (if you manage more than one).
5. Find the Site header HTML field and paste your Consentics snippet.
6. Save your changes. HubSpot applies this across your published pages without a separate site-wide publish step, though individual pages built before the change may need a quick republish to pick it up immediately.
7. Go back to your Consentics install page and check the waiting-for-first-event status. It turns green once Consentics receives your first page view.

HubSpot has a built-in cookie banner, but by HubSpot's own documentation it only blocks cookies from HubSpot's own tools (HubSpot analytics, forms, chat widgets). It does not block cookies from scripts you add yourself through Site header HTML, custom modules, or theme templates, including the Consentics tag.

This means running HubSpot's native banner alongside Consentics leaves a gap: HubSpot's banner will show, but it won't be the thing actually controlling consent for third-party scripts on the page, Consentics will be. To avoid two banners appearing (and two separate, potentially conflicting consent records for the same visitor), turn off HubSpot's native cookie banner in Settings, Website, Cookie banner, and let Consentics handle the consent decision for the whole domain.

I have multiple domains in HubSpot. Do I need to repeat this per domain? Yes. Site header HTML is set per domain, so if Consentics is covering more than one HubSpot-hosted domain, paste the matching site's snippet into each domain's settings separately.

Does this affect HubSpot's own analytics or forms tracking? No. Consentics runs alongside HubSpot's built-in tools without interfering with them. If you want HubSpot's own tracking to respect the same consent decision, that's a separate configuration inside HubSpot's own cookie policy settings, not part of this install.

Will this work on HubSpot landing pages and blog posts, or only the main site? Site header HTML applies to website pages, landing pages, and blog posts on the selected domain, so a single install covers all three.
